Pricing questions
Because any published figure would be wrong within days. Scrap prices track global commodity markets and move constantly. Publishing a stale number would either mislead you or make us look expensive. Ring or WhatsApp and you get today's figure, not last month's.
Separation, by a wide margin. Grades mixed into one container have to be priced against the weakest metal in the load. Two or three separate bins — which we supply free — routinely pay noticeably more for the same material.
Yes, though we are set up primarily for trade and commercial volumes. Either way we are legally required to verify and record the seller: businesses need company details and a named contact, individuals need photo ID and proof of address.
We do not take general waste, gas bottles, sealed pressure vessels, fuel tanks with contents, asbestos-containing material or anything radioactive. Fridges and units containing refrigerant gas we do take, but they need proper degassing first, which we arrange.
