Started with one lorry and a phone number that got answered
London Scrap Metal Company works out of 124 City Road in EC1, collecting ferrous and non-ferrous metal across every London borough. We started small, doing clearances other firms found too awkward, and grew because people rang us back.
Today we run scheduled collections for manufacturers and facilities teams, clear sites for demolition and fit-out contractors, remove plant that needs craneage, and still turn out for a plumber with a van full of copper. The scale changed. How we do it did not.
The trade has a reputation, and some of it is earned. Cash deals that are not legal. Weights nobody can verify. Prices agreed on the phone and revised on the day. We built this business by being the opposite of that, because in a city this size your reputation is the only thing that brings the next job in.
