Cable Collection — your questions answered
No. We buy cable whole and price it on its recoverable copper content, so there is no need to spend labour stripping it. If you already strip in house we will price the bare bright separately, which will always be the higher rate.
By weight and by grade, based on the copper or aluminium recovery for that cable type. We will tell you the grade and the rate before it goes on the vehicle, and everything is weighed in front of you.
Yes. Cable theft is a genuine problem in London, so we can supply lockable stillages, collect at short notice to reduce how long material sits on site, and arrange out-of-hours collection where an open yard is a risk.
Under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 we must record the seller. For a business that means company details and a named contact; for an individual, photographic ID and proof of address. Payment is by bank transfer only — cash is not lawful for scrap in England and Wales.
