No. Collection anywhere in London is free, and so are the bins and containers. Where there is enough recoverable metal, you are paid the balance after collection. On low-grade or heavily mixed loads we will quote a clear price before we start rather than surprise you afterwards.
Most London collections are booked within 24 hours, and same-day is often possible if you call early. For genuine emergencies and out-of-hours work, the 24-hour line on 07988 051788 is answered by someone who can send a vehicle rather than take a message.
No, and no lawful dealer in England or Wales does. The Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 made cash payment for scrap illegal. We pay by bank transfer, usually the same day, and record every transaction as the legislation requires. Anyone offering cash is not trading lawfully.
Businesses need company details and a named contact. Individuals need photographic ID such as a driving licence or passport, plus proof of address dated within the last three months. We are required to verify and record this for every transaction.
